Hi! I want to begin by saying that I recognize the courage it takes to pursue counseling. Life can be difficult, and having a safe space to talk and decompress is crucial. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you process and navigate the highs and lows of your life journey.
I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, ages, and at various relationship stages, married or single. I am incredibly passionate about helping those navigating a life transition, cross-cultural transition, trauma, anxiety, and depression. One of the main reasons I pursued a career in counseling was my desire to help people crossover from a state of surviving to one of thriving. I love what happens when counseling is combined with faith, and healing is the result.
I grew up overseas, in a missionary family, and moved to the United States to attend university. This experience has provided me with a unique outlook on life, an enlarged worldview, and the ability to connect with individuals from varying backgrounds and cultures. My time spent in a ministry context has provided me with the ability to work with those in ministry or who are coming out of a difficult ministry context.
I recognize that it can seem as though trauma, conflict, struggles, anxiety, and depression are a part of life and impossible to overcome. I desire to walk alongside you and be a part of your healing and thriving process. It is possible to manage these struggles and have a life of peace and hope. It is possible to move forward from trauma and grief. This is a journey that I am honored to be a part of.
I look forward to walking alongside you and starting the journey.

MyCounselor has as its aim to be the gold standard in faith-based mental health. Our counselors are required to have undergraduate studies in theology, practical ministry, or psychology and have completed a graduate (master’s) degree in mental health (professional counseling, clinical social work, marriage & family therapy, etc.).
After submitting an application package that includes transcripts, references, and video responses to a structured interview, qualified candidates are invited into a multi-stage interview process. During the process candidates will meet with clinical supervisors, perform a mock therapy session, and participate in a training with the MyCounselor clinical team. If advanced from the final interview with the Director of Clinical Services, candidates are offered a position on the clinical team and matriculated into the MyCounselor residency.
During residency counselors complete multiple rotations of clinical training and experience with specific populations, including individuals, couples, families, and teens. Specifically, residents are trained in the MyCounselor proprietary model of care: Neuroscience Informed Christian Counseling® (NICC) as applied in practice with various presenting issues.
The thorough training our counselors receive in a broad array of specialized rotations equips them to address counseling concerns ranging from the common to the complex.

Some of the most common things I hear as a counselor are “I am just not an emotional person,” “ I don’t know what to do with my emotions” or “I don’t know how to feel and talk about my emotions.”
