I enjoy working with people who are navigating many different stages of life, premarital and young couples, new parents, ministers, single or “single again” ladies. I enjoy working with those who find themselves walking through questions about their identity, looking for clarity in purpose, and/or are facing wounds from the past. It is an honor to be part of others’ journeys to discover their identity in Christ, new peace, hope, and healing. I believe that deep healing is absolutely available in the transforming love of God and the counseling relationship.
I work often with those battling depression, fear, and anxiety, those just feeling “stuck”, “alone” or “broken” from trauma, pain, or addiction that is affecting their lives in work, leadership, relationships, and ministry. I believe that joy and compassion are powerful tools in the healing journey. I also believe that every person’s life has a unique purpose, that their courage to pursue personal healing and freedom will not only transform their lives but will also greatly impact and inspire others.

MyCounselor has as its aim to be the gold standard in faith-based mental health. Our counselors are required to have undergraduate studies in theology, practical ministry, or psychology and have completed a graduate (master’s) degree in mental health (professional counseling, clinical social work, marriage & family therapy, etc.).
After submitting an application package that includes transcripts, references, and video responses to a structured interview, qualified candidates are invited into a multi-stage interview process. During the process candidates will meet with clinical supervisors, perform a mock therapy session, and participate in a training with the MyCounselor clinical team. If advanced from the final interview with the Director of Clinical Services, candidates are offered a position on the clinical team and matriculated into the MyCounselor residency.
During residency counselors complete multiple rotations of clinical training and experience with specific populations, including individuals, couples, families, and teens. Specifically, residents are trained in the MyCounselor proprietary model of care: Neuroscience Informed Christian Counseling® (NICC) as applied in practice with various presenting issues.
The thorough training our counselors receive in a broad array of specialized rotations equips them to address counseling concerns ranging from the common to the complex.

One of the most common questions I have seen people both in my personal and
professional life wrestle with has been “is selfcare selfish?” As Christians, we often tend to
struggle with not only this question, but an even bigger one, “is selfcare biblical?” We are called
to live sacrificial lives, so how does selfcare fit into that? My hope in this article is to start the
discussion around what exactly is selfcare, what does the Bible have to say about it, and what
are some examples of selfcare.
