Christian counseling for porn & compulsive sexual behavior

Freedom was never going to come from trying harder.

If you’ve promised to stop a hundred times and found yourself back again, the problem isn’t weak willpower or weak faith. Compulsive behavior runs on a loop that shame only tightens. Our Christ-centered, neuroscience-informed counselors help you break the cycle —confidentially, and without condemnation.

You're not the only one

It’s not the behavior that wears you down most. It’s the secret.

The resolve to quit — really quit, this time. The relapse. The wave of shame. And then the promise again. Maybe there’s a version of you everyone sees on Sunday and a version that shows up alone, and the distance between them is exhausting. You’re not weak, and you’re not alone in this. More people in the pews carry it than anyone admits — precisely because shame tells everyone to keep it hidden.

The Loop You can't break

Resolve, relapse, shame, repeat. You’ve tried filters, rules, and sheer willpower — and willpower keeps losing the rematch

The Double Life

The gap between who you want to be and what you do in private. Hiding it takes a quiet, constant energy that’s hard to name.

The Shame that feeds it

Shame says you’re the only one and you’d better hide. But hiding and isolation are exactly what keep the cycle alive.

Free, private check-in

Is it becoming something you can’t control?

A short, completely private reflection — seven questions, about two minutes. Nothing you enter is saved, sent, or seen by anyone. No judgment here — just an honest look and a sense of what might help.

Why our approach works

We treat the cycle, not just the behavior

Most approaches aim only at stopping the behavior — more rules, more filters, more willpower. But the behavior is the tip of something. Underneath is a nervous system reaching for relief, a shame loop that keeps it spinning, and often older wounds. Neuroscience Informed Christian Counseling® (NICC) works the whole system, with Christ at the center.

01

Quiet what it's medicating

Compulsive behavior is usually soothing something — stress, pain, loneliness, boredom. When we address what it’s really reaching for, the pull starts to loosen.

02

Break the power of secrecy

Shame survives in hiding and dies in the light. Real change happens in honest, safe relationship — not in white-knuckled isolation.

03

Rewire the loop, anchored in grace

Habits can be re-formed. Lasting freedom grows from being fully known and not condemned — not from self-hatred, which only feeds the cycle.

FAQ

Have Questions? We've got answers.

It doesn’t have to be either-or. We take your moral and spiritual convictions seriously, and we take the real science of compulsion seriously too. The two aren’t in competition. Freedom comes from addressing both the behavior and what’s driving it underneath — with grace, not condemnation.
No. Shame is part of the trap, not the cure — and your counselor knows that. You’ll be met with compassion and clinical skill by someone who has walked with many people through exactly this. You don’t have to clean yourself up first.alongside your prescriber if you have one.
Yes. Sessions are private, conducted securely online, and protected by the same confidentiality and privacy standards as any professional therapy. What you share stays between you and your counselor, within the limits the law requires for everyone’s safety.

Betrayal is real, and a hurting partner deserves support of their own. We can help you do your individual work and, when the time is right, point toward care for your spouse and your marriage. Healing the relationship usually goes better with guidance than by trying to manage disclosure alone.

They can help — they raise the friction. But tools manage the behavior without touching what’s underneath, which is why they so often stop working. We help you use them wisely as part of a deeper change, not as the whole plan.

Yes. Every counselor is trained in our Neuroscience Informed Christian Counseling® model and shares a common statement of faith — so you’re getting clinically excellent care built on what you believe, not care that merely tolerates it.

We’re intentionally out-of-network so we can offer the depth of care insurance often limits. You can use HSA/FSA funds, and we’ll provide paperwork if you’d like to seek out-of- network reimbursement from your plan.

Freedom is closer than the shame lets you believe.

Let’s start your healing together.
