Hi there, and welcome! What an amazing and brave step you are taking by being here. I want you to know that I am here to meet you exactly where you are without judgment, just as our Lord does so tenderly and faithfully. I know what it’s like to hurt deeply and I also know what it’s like to do the hard work required to move through it. I believe the most important tool in my work with clients is the relationship itself, so I tend to bring my whole self to sessions while integrating the strategies and techniques I have learned and implemented in my ~5 years of professional counseling experience around anxiety, depression, harmful behaviors, and both intra- and interpersonal challenges. Together, we will explore and work through the psychosocial factors contributing to and maintaining pain and conflict in a safe and effective way, while restoring your relationship with yourself, with others and with Jesus, so that you can fully experience the peace, hope, and joy that is freely and abundantly given in Christ. I would be absolutely honored to come alongside you and God during this season of healing and growth.
I have been in mental health since 2009, beginning with behavioral research before moving into clinical work. Throughout my experience working in various settings with all levels of acuity within a variety of presenting concerns, I have really been able to hone skills that have enabled me to help clients struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and relational trauma. In particular, I have helped clients gain insight and understanding of their unhelpful beliefs, move from judgment to acceptance of self and others, and identify and communicate needs effectively within relationships.
A little about me: I was born and raised in New Jersey and I am the eldest of 3 siblings. I spent much of my childhood traveling and was able to spend one year of my undergraduate studies in Europe, where the culture was rich and the food was delicious! In my spare time, you can find me cooking, working on my family cookbook, reading and studying the Bible, and connecting with friends and family. I met the Lord in 2018 and I am involved my local church where I fellowship regularly with others to grow personally and in the faith.
Looking forward to meeting you!
