A Note from Shaelyn

The path of life you are called to walk is not easy and it is certainly not meant to be traversed alone. Your journey has undoubtedly brought you trials and seasons that have tested you and left you feeling discouraged and maybe even caused you to despair. Perhaps you are feeling that way now, or perhaps you have felt that way for a long time. Either way, you are not alone and the fact that you are seeking help now is a courageous step that reveals in you a hope and longing for something greater for your future. Whatever you’re facing, whatever you’ve been through, it is my belief that with the grace of God and a helping companionship you will find the strength within you to overcome and flourish! It would be my honor and privilege to be that helping companion and journey alongside you as you begin this work to discover what that looks like for yourself.

While I am relatively new to the field and have not yet determined a specialty, my education and prior experience has equipped me to care for and manage a number of issues including trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, communication, and behavioral both with individuals and within a family context. I received my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University and am currently working toward becoming a Certified Traumatologist through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
