A Note from Karlie

Reaching out for support and help can be a daunting task. If you are reading this, that means you have embraced that fear and taken a vital step in your healing journey, well done! Life can sometimes get messy and all to often we are left sorting through the mess ourselves in a fragile state. Thanks to platforms like MyCounselor, you no longer must walk that journey alone. My name is Karlie, and I would be honored to walk beside you through the ups and downs of whatever it is you may be going through. I know it seems odd to be reaching out to a stranger for support, so let me tell you a little about myself!

I live in Southeastern Pennsylvania with my husband, son, and dog! I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2016 and my master’s in clinical counseling with a focus in trauma studies in 2020. I have also furthered my understanding of treating trauma by becoming a Certified Trauma Professional. I come from a large extended family which, in my case, means lots of different personalities, egos, addictions, struggles, triumphs, and much more that I have navigated over the years.

My love for people is truly what drew me to counseling. I know that through counseling I am doing what the Lord has called me to do. I am passionate about helping people achieve true peace and joy in their lives. I have worked with individuals of all shapes and sizes with different struggles including addiction, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression to name a few. Whatever season of life you are currently in I’d love to take part in that voyage whether it be celebrating small victories and big goals, working through grief and heartache, or maybe both.
